Post Where is the a/c switch?

1977 F-150,460, factory air.Hi, I can't find a switch to energize the compresser. If I run a jumper wire to the compresser it cools real well. The wire to the compresser is not hot and need to find the switch or whatever it is that sends a message to cycle the comp. Thanks

The switch is on your control head, the only other thing there is, is the freeze stat in your evap. housing and the fuse in the fuse box.

I think you also have an ambient temp switch that sits just in front of the rad on the driver's side.

Also, there is an adjustment that can be made with two little screws on the freeze switch inside the a/c box just inside the cab.

Where is the a/c switch?

It wound up being a tang broke on the switch. Thanks for the help. At what temp. should the compressor kick off?
