Hey Guys! I Have A 92 F-150 With A T-18 B.w. Trans With 4x4 1356 B.w. Transfer Case . Ineed To Know If Anyone Knows The # Of The Seal That Is In The Extension Housing That Keeps The Trans. Oil In The The Trans. Mine Is Missing, Some One Must Have Taken It Out Before I Bought The Old Girl .i Haven't Had Any Problems With The Trans Or Clutch Since 95 When I Bought It,so Now I Found Out The Seal Is Gone And Ford Can Not Tell Me What Seal Goes In There Unless I The Old Seal ! Any Advice? Thanks!

I recently replaced the rear seal on my transfer case, '90 F150, 4x4, 302, AOD, BW1356. I used a 'Chicago Rawhide' seal # 18687. ...Terry

 

is your truck a 4 or 5spd. im guessing 5spd and a m5od because i dont think the t18 used an aluminum housing. if i remember right when i replaced the rear tranny seal in my m5od i had a bitch of a time finding one even with the old one. the first one they ordered was the wrong one and then it took 5 days to get the right one its metric if i recall. if i were you i would get out the mics and spec the inside and outside diameter and width and go to your real (not autozone or any other autoparts store) local bearing distributor and give them the sizes they should be able to get u the right one.

 

nope! mine does have A t-18 borg warner 4-speed with alum. extension housing. it was special ordered that way . the ford dealer says that it didnt come with that trans every time i go to get parts. thanks!
