Talking 1979

79 bronco 351m/400 with 118004 original mies on her. replaced valve covers, air cleaner, coil, wires, batt, distributer, thermostat, all hoses, power steering bracket, and gettin ready to drop an edlebrock performer manifold and a holley 650 double pumper on top. back fender well rusted pretty good and plenty of vent holes in the tail gate. add the 33x12.50r15's and the 15 cans of spraypaint and theres my rig.

1993 eb 351 == 157000 i bought it off original owner at about 154000 == he ran it way low on oil and it has a cylinder wiped out == but i only drive it 4 miles round trip to work and back == so it should last the winter and will get a fresh 408 in the spring == passenger side quarter just starting to bubble through will have that fixed while motor is being redone == interior is like new after i took off those nasty dirty seat covers, guess they served there purpose == plan on rebuilding tranny while motor is out and it should be good for another 200000

bought a 96 xl 70k miles government auction. put new tires bfg all T's K.O.'s 31 x 10inch. put dual shock mounts on got them from a trashed 91 brc. attempted to install 2 inch lift coils, found out that i need camber adjust cams. they are on order. will be replacing rad arm bushings. replaced vinyl floor with carpet. replaced rear window seals at tailgate. damn thing is clean. sounds like it would be a good idea to install manual locking hubs.

275K and now in retirement. Will have to start counting the miles again when it is completed from the restoration.

207,000 on my '92 EB. New fuel pump/fuel filter, water pump, alternator, tune-up, and (of course) a MLPS. Can't forget that. Planning on a new engine and transmission at the beginning of '05 so I can start on the really important stuff.... how it looks.

Lightbulb

My 84 has roughly 745,645 miles if the roughly 1,235,000 kms are converted to miles. my parents bought it brand new they drove it till the odometer went around once and rested on 121,685kms also put new paint and got the body worked on and passed on to me when I was 16. went through the motor when really bad blow-by occured, which was a 300 everything new in it except the connecting rods, block, and head after rebuild. something i should have changed was connecting rods, which cylinder #3 broke and went through cylinder wall. now replacing motor with a 302 from my 87 bronco which has only 486,000 kms or 301 986 miles, previous owner said he put a newer used motor in it before i bought it when the truck had only 135,000 kms on it, went through this motor had everything checked by the local engine shop, they said it would be good just the cylinders needed honing and everything else was cleaned up and put together again with new bearings getting the AOD tranny rebuilt right now and in the process of putting everything into the 84. hopefully be back on the road by mid november at latest, wiring would take the longest

116,000

95, 5.8 auto.. Running strong.

Only issue I have is something I just saw someone else mention. The Bronco complains a little about starting when she is warm..

Anything I can do about this?? It almost acts as if the timing is off, but when she is cold, she doesn't even take a full revolution to start.

'89 with 167,000. Just purchased this month. Seems to be strong. Minor issues with control for heat and air and of course the oil guage. Have a mechanical that will replace factory.
