thanks Lou! So far so good, just having problems obtaining a title, since it never was issued one. Have to get a court ordered one.

1960 F350 4 X 4 Frankenstein
Hello,
I rescued this rig from an orchard central California. Through this forum I learned that this truck did not start life as a 4 x 4. The next thing I learned is that all the drive lines and end yokes are 5380 series Detroit. These are used by Dodge. From the axle serial numbers I determined that they are from 1968 / 1969. The transfer case is a 205. It came with a 232 inline 6 and a T98 transmission. As you can see from the photos, I have started disassembly to repair all the rusted out areas. Since it‘s already a Frankenstein, I am going to put an LT1 engine and 4L60E transmission in it.
Thanks to truckdog62563 for research on wheels to fit this front axle.
I will post more photos as I progress.

So is this even active anymore? Is registry open? Where is it located?
Just got my second 59’ F100 36 years after selling my first one and wanted to add this one to registry but seems this forum’s activity is hard to find like some of our parts, lol. No disrespect I just wanna be in the know on where to find what is new and exciting for our trucks

59 f100 4x4
Bought this 59 F100 last week, has been sitting in storage for quite a while. Cleaned a ton of dirt and mouse droppings and going at the drivetrain next. Curious on the Vin and Model. I've read that a Vin starting with f10 is a f100 2we and vin starting with f11 is a f100 4wd. Haven't found what the F19C Model means, anyone have any idea? Searched this forum and a few others too.
Thanks,
Don
Thanks,
Don

I have not idea what that F19C is for, it may have something to do with the 4 wheel drive. 1959 was the first year for 4WD and I'm not exactly sure when the F10/F11 sequence started. Maybe someone out there has seen this before but I haven't.
According to the '58 truck parts manual which should be mostly the same, your data plate decodes as follows:
F10 = F100
C = 292 2 barrel V8
9 = 1959
K = Assembly Plant Code for Kansas City
27550 = Consecutive Unit Code
Continuing past the Serial Number:
WB / 118 = 118" wheelbase which is correct for an F-100 long bed
Color / R = Vermillion
F19C = unknown
Date / 07B = February 7th
Trans / A = standard 3 speed
The second "A" between trans and axle is also unknown. Possibly has something to do with the transfer case?
Axle / 02 = 3.89:1
The bottom line is, more or less, self explanatory. The truck's GVW = 4000 lb. and the engine produces 158 horsepower at 4,000 RPM. There is nothing in the DSO box to indicate that there was any special order so this appears to be just a production pickup. Perhaps someone with a 1959 "Truck Parts and Accessories Catalog" can shed more light on these odd entries to the data plate.
Hope that helps,
Lou Manglass
P.S. Additional information. I did find out that "F19" is a one year only 1959 code for a 4,000 lb. 4 wheel drive. Still no idea about the "C" or the extra "A".
