Lifespan of a 7.3 IDI

I'm looking at an 89 F450 Super Duty with a 7.3 and a 5 speed. What kind of mileage can I expect before it's rebuild time.

With proper maintanance you should easily see 300,000+ miles. I replaced the head gaskets on my bro-in-law's 6.9L with 200,000 miles and there was NO cylinder wear. No ridging at all.

Powerstroker is correct. We had one with 329,000 miles on it at the plant on display and it didn't look worn out to me.

i got a '89 350 7.3L and shes still crusin at over 200,000 but half of those miles have been off-road and boggin so i imagine shes going to be truckin for a while, good luck
