Question I need some clairty about the 6.0L

I have a 2001 F-350 CC, V10, 4spd auto, 3.73 gears, 60k miles. I am about to trade up and was thinking of the 6.0L. However, a friend of mine just came home from the Mid America Truck Show in Kentucky. He has heard that International has just shut down the assembly line that produces the 6.0L. He stated the reason for this was to figure out why the 6.0L was having problems with heat. The heat he spoke of is causing cam bearings to sieze. Can anyone comfirm or deny this about International or the 6.0L engine? I would welcome all who would like to give their input. Thanks,

If there was a problem like that, you can bet you would have heard about it on this and other forums. I havent heard anything about siezing cam bearings or other heat related problems.

Absolute nonsense. I don't recall having read of ANY engine failure. Only a few turbos some injectors on 05-03 and earlier build dates. If anything, the 6.0s run cold and take a long time to warm up thoroughly. Mine has 80 pounds oil pressure cold idle which is what causes cam bearings to fail.
