On every 61-66 Ford I have ever seen on the right hand side of the steering wheel there is a silver filler plug in one of the holes on the instrument panel. Did this have a specific function? I think it looks out of place and would like to put something original looking there any ideas?
Since my grand farther bought my{his} truck new in 63, the dash is all orginal, and its layed out like this. Its a 63 F-100 Unibody Custom Cab.
Lights
Wipers
Lighter
Steering column
BLANK
Choke
Heat control
This four way flasher switch, does it have the same black know and chrome bezel the rest do? Because if not I dont want it in there. I want the dash to be as factory looking as possible. note looking, I don't really care if that is not how they did it i just want it to look good.
In all the 61-66s I have ever seen (probably 30 or so) none of them had this 4-way flasher. It must have been an expensive option or only avalible in the US, I don't know. Anyway does anyone know of a company that reproduces this switch?
I have a 63 all original and it also has a blank. You can put in a 4-way flasher but this is not original equipment. but you cant realy tell unless showing it.
All of them had the *** but no one had the switch. Are there any generic switches? Will switches (not just hazzard) from a 67-72 work? Liek the fuel tank selector of something? they look the same but you never know.
