Hello i need to get some headers for my 4x4 79 bronco i have looked and looked all i can find is L&L headers and headman swap headers for $377-$400 if you ask me that is to much for some.

well the best thing to do for some used ones is post in the classifieds section on FTE here, if you want new ones check these sites out www.jegs.com, www.flatlanderracing.com, www.summit.com they should have what you looking for.

I have a couple sets of the L&Ls and have seen others for a little less$$ but I think the L&Ls are worth it. Mike

 

i didn't see any 460 headers for 4x4 on jegs. I always thought 460s mainly came in 2wds. i thought it was dumb of ford for doing it.

 

I kept my old headers for my 351M in my 79 took the exhaust gaskets for newly installed 460 & some 5/16in flat steel carefully marked all holes took torch and made new plates. took old headers & ground old mounting plates off they are only welded on gasket side. Had to cut exhaust tubes as needed and lengthen using exhaust tubing with same inside diameter as the outside diameter as the origional tubes welded all together while bolted to a junk head and ended up with a inexpensive set of headers to fit 351M/460 engine swap. Cheapest set of headers I could find.
