1996 F250 7.3

Hi all, I've got my alternator off and need to remove the bracket to fish my crankshaft sensor wire out to re-wire a new pigtail. It's stuck behind the alternator bracket and the bracket's go to come off.

There are 4 bolts to remove, right? When I take these out the bracket, tensioner, tensioner pulley and idler will all come off, right?

I can leave the pulleys on the bracket and just pull the whole thing out, yes?

I already have the alt off, so looks like 4 bolts and that's it. Is there anything to surprise me here?

 

Shouldn't be any big surprises. You can leave the other pulleys on if you can remove the mounting bolts with them on.

This is a good time to replace the tensioner and/or do the dual tensioner SD mod.

 

Got it, no surprises and fixed up my CPS wire...
