Air/Oil Separator M-6766-R23A - 2021 Ranger Lariat FX4

So, I’ve been watching several YouTube videos about air/oil separators, and one the foremost aftermarket manufactures installed the separator lines between the “dirty” side and runs them from the oil filter area up to the container close to the battery location.

Ford Performance has their M-6766-R23A separator installed between the “clean” side and mounts nicely between the fan shroud and the top of the engine area.

So, therefore my question is…. Which is the better option?

One would thing that Ford Performance would know best the technical aspects of the engine as opposed to the aftermarket manufactures…

I don't know which one is better, but I do know that Ford uses a lot of rebranded aftermarket parts to sell as their own. You might check what is available on the aftermarket and compare it to what Ford sells to see if it is maybe not made by Ford.
