Polyethylene or steel fuel tank ... & gas caps.

Awesome! As a child both in Texas and later, here in Virginia, I knew that when Perry was on, I was to be quiet as it was the one program that my mother looked forward to over any others. To this day, watching reruns I've seen several times, they take me back and I can see my Mom sitting down to watch. I love them. Moab is beautiful country, I've not jeeped or trucked there, but I'm sure was a blast for you in your back yard. Utah is one area of the country I want to visit again.
I started this thread thinking I might soon need to get a new tank, and I was even mildly considering a 38 gallon tank, but now I'm thinking my tank is OK, but I'll still replace some rubber like hoses, and every time I think of 38 gallon tanks ... I recall how low one hangs, & how very vulnerable they are, and not really needed. If ever I need to stray far from gas, I have enough gas cans to carry 35 or more gallons, and an all non-metalic hand started siphon transfer pump hose. Just slide the gas can over near the fill door of the bed, it's a down hill siphon once started ... not even any lifting.
