1974 f250 axle code

I have a 2wd 1974 f250 and a the metal information tag on the door, the axle code is 38J and from what I have found that diff is 3.08 gear ratio and that didn't come out till 1975. Could please someone tell me what differential I have.

38 is either 1973/74 or 1975/79: Dana 60 / 3.73-1 / 5,300 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity
