No idea what for, front porch maybe?

 

I've seen some like that on the high rail trucks around here. (trucks that drive on the railroad tracks)

 

Looks like something that would be on the front of a firetruck.

 

No telling. I'm sure it's not done for looks. Most likely has a pretty practical use.

 

Looks like a fishing platform.

 

You see these alot on rail work and oilfield trucks so they have a front platform to work off of. Alot of times there will be equipment, such as a large vise, pipe bender, etc. attached to it.

It really surprises me the number of people that own these trucks and don't realize they're used for actual work...

 

would make a great platform to work from.

 

I have seen those on brush trucks. You’ll usually see some sort of gas engine driven pump, a heavy winch, or other fire fighting equipment mounted on the extended bumper.

 

 

Thats a lot of good workspace.
