2005 ford f-350 6.0 dually

Hey ive had this problem for years now, when ever my truck warms up and is idiling at a red light or stopped, it feels like my engine is misfiring but then once i start driving my truck it’s fine. I’ve changed my oil, oil filter,IPR,ICP, deleted my EGR, changed my turbo, FICM and many more but nothing has seemed to solve my problem.. does anyone have any suggestions on why this could be happening it has around 660,000 KM. Any help would be appreciated.

After using a ForScan reader I have gotten these problems. Help would be greatly appreciated!

What are you using for monitoring the engine and checking for DTCs?

That is over 410,000 miles if you meant 660,000 kilometers on the odometer. Original injectors?

Compression test.

A low cylinder can cause that. That many miles it could just be wore out.

It drives completly fine, only when it gets hot and stopped it starts acting up, if i turn off the truck and turn it back on after 30 minutes it’s fine until warm.

EDIT - ForScan is highly recommended! Torque Pro will work as well.

Ford charges a fair amount each time to scan for codes. That could have been several hundred dollars spent.

You need to buy your own scan tool. You have sent well over $1000 without concrete information - or so it seems.

We can help if you get ForScan or Torque Pro.......even with something that doesn't read codes as well, but will at least pull PCM parameter data. Codes help a lot and that is why we recommend what we do. Help us help you.

Have you checked fuel pressure?

FIRST OFF - thank you for editing your POST #1 to include codes (especially since it felt like we were twisting your arm to get ForScan)

And Ford couldn't retrieve any of those codes?? That is very odd and disappointing. Especially if they charged you, and they USUALLY do!

We ABSOLUTELY need data. When you say fuel pressure is fine, PLEASE post what that pressure is (a specific number in psi) and what running conditions were when you got that pressure readings (and hopefully the condition was WOT).

P0098: IAT2 sensor - high input; MAT signal circuit open, short to power or defective sensor. Voltage less than 0.15 for P0097 and voltage greater than 4.8.

You should inspect the IAT2 sensor connector and wiring - closely!

P0528: There is something wrong with the fan speed electrical system........UNLESS........you have a 7.3L fan clutch modification. Please inform us if you do.

P0299: This can be a VERY hard code to track down. There is a slim chance it is realted to the IAT2 code.

If not, it can be any of these things (other specific tests will be needed to track it down):
- turbo, mainly a stuck VGT unison ring (but this issue COMMONLY sets other codes as well
- a leak on the intake side between the turbo and the intake (including the charge air cooler)
- a biased EBP sensor, plugged tube, or wiring (an 03 that has the inferred EBP flash will not throw this code for a bad EBP sensor)
- damaged MAP sensor or hose
- an exhaust leak between the exhaust manifold and turbo up-pipe to the turbo
- a restricted exhaust or restricted (plugged up) intake
- ICP issues
- IPR issues
- high pressure oil issue
- low side oil volume issue
- FICM concerns (especially low voltage)
- failing injectors
- low battery voltage or alternator issue
- low fuel pressure
- can even be triggered by a P0405 EGR valve failure
- even a bad MAF sensor can cause this code and turbo control issues

SUMMARY - track down the P0098 first.

Meaning of the other codes:

B1869: Lamp Air Bag Warning Indicator Circuit Open. This code means that the circuit that controls the light bulb in your passenger side airbag cutoff switch is electrically open. You could go through the diagnostic pinpoint tests but I have NEVER seen anything but the bulb being burnt out cause this code. Replace the switch assembly to correct.

All the C codes look like a bad Parking Aid Module or maybe a harness that is unplugged, I guess all 4 sensors could actually be bad..................

PAM - Parking Aid Module - Remove glove box, Remove right kick panel, on the pillar even with the glove box. It has a speaker on it. All the backup sensors being bad seems unusual.

EDIT - here is a good video on the PAM troubleshooting (Makuloco even uses and likes ForScan):

Oh, and ForScan has quit supporting ELM devices. Best to look for one of their recommended adapters (listed on their web site).

I have changed everything you’ve listed and and checked everything, they’re all pretty new on the truck very well taken care of truck. I don’t have anything to see my gauge boost on the oil pressure is there any recommendations?
