Bud's knee is acting up, Ken. So, no running today. I won't be able to make it either. My cross country running days are over a long time ago. Will you be running? or watching

Morning World. Nope, I don't think I'll be in the Marathon this day. That right knee won't alow it. But maybe next year. Seeing Doc today to find out when they can fix it for me. O's took 2 outta 3 from the White Sox so looks like no change in the RFLP.

OK, do you want the good news first? Or the bad news first? OK bad first;
After lunch today ( half a ham and cheese on rye)I pulled the lower plate out of my mouth for cleaning. Damn thing came out alright....in two pieces! So left for my ortho appt a little early and left the two pieces with my dentist who told me to come back after my ortho appt. (Offices only 3 block apart) Came back after and he took me in immediately to take an impression so they could remake the lower plate. Didn't even ask for the cost as I know it'll not want to see it. They said I'll have it back Wednesday. That part was pretty good news. I saw the looks on the faces of those that have been sitting there waiting. They did NOT look happy.

Good news: The ortho Doc said I do not need to have the knee replacement yet! He said that a drainage of the fluid in the knee and an injection - I forgot what he said he was injecting but it would do the trick. He drained a crapful of yellow stuff out of the area and injected a lubricant and said to continue with my ice packs and Alieve for a few days and to come back in a month so he can re-evaluate. He saw my Ford truck hat and said my issue was like a ball joint that needed to be regreased. So I asked if he was gonna leave the zert fitting in there too? He only grunted. I already feel the knee is not as painful but will follow directions and ice it down. I am swallowing a pain reliever as I type. The scotch is working now too !

Me too, Ken
I had one of those injections. It did work for a while. I think my latest problem has something to do with roofing

Morning World. A little late this AM. Had to get going on getting a chicken into the slow cooker but needed to hit the store for missing ingredients. There was there was an accident right in front of the store entrance. Long wait to get in there. Same trying to get out. Take a while to get the chicken ready for the slo-cooker and get it in and going. Needs to go till 2PM and then add the next stuff...potatoes, carrots, more ingredients, etc. Then goes for 3 more hours - take chicken out and put in broiler to crisp up the outside. Prepare the giblets for gravy. And hope I got it all right. Dinner planned for the kids (not grandkids) at 6:00/6:30 ,. Crossed fingers!

Bud, your string of "incidents" is not encouraging. It sounds like the doc shot you some Cortizone, on that knee. Does not feel so good going in, but it does work wonder after it's in there.

Morning World. There is enough chicken left over to make maybe 2 sandwiches ! Guess everyone liked it. It fell off the bone as I removed it from the Slow cooker. Yeah, it was a great hit.

Denny guess it wasn't Cortisone as it did NOT hurt going in and the knee pain still hurts today. I'll give it one more day then will leave the Doc a note on the Patient Portal.

Ken, did you mention "pitching" again ?
