yeah, Greaser, we're on the same page. My wife and I went last weekend to look at a 65 that already had a motor swap, but it was so ate up with rust (the entire roof of the cab as ate off. I could lift it off and make a convertable!) that we decided it was worth just having one shipped to us that had a good body on it.
We've both never really done much paint & body work, so I didn't think it was a good idea to start out with a major project!

Looks like a good start, but I think you may be in need of new hood hinges. Don't know if you have searched out all the re-pop sellers but NPD has a real good catalog. Dennis Carpenter has been around forever and owns the original Ford tooling for a lot of stuff. Got mine from DC. They were goldish colored anodized, I assume. They were junk and became landfill material. Found an NOS set in Texas and never looked back.
