Our '64 F100

She's on the way! We're thinking of naming her "Tealy"

Our '64 getting loaded on the truck in NM, headed for FL

These Fords are worth paying shipping fees to move to a new home.

I have a tendency to buy dented but intact orphans so I don't have bunches of rust to chase. Famous last words. hahaha

yeah, Greaser, we're on the same page. My wife and I went last weekend to look at a 65 that already had a motor swap, but it was so ate up with rust (the entire roof of the cab as ate off. I could lift it off and make a convertable!) that we decided it was worth just having one shipped to us that had a good body on it.
We've both never really done much paint & body work, so I didn't think it was a good idea to start out with a major project!

Looks like a good start, but I think you may be in need of new hood hinges. Don't know if you have searched out all the re-pop sellers but NPD has a real good catalog. Dennis Carpenter has been around forever and owns the original Ford tooling for a lot of stuff. National Parts Depot | Restoring American History | Mustang Parts | Camaro Parts | Chevelle Parts | Ford Truck Parts | T-Bird Parts | Firebird Parts | Chevy Truck Parts (npdlink.com)

Dennis Carpenter Ford Restorations - Truck, Bronco, Car, Tractor, and Cushman Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts for Trucks, Broncos, Cars, Tractors and Cushman Scooters (dennis-carpenter.com)

Yeah, I noticed that too. I want to wait until it gets here and make an assessment on those hinges.

I'm luck, NPD has a location about 40 minutes from my house here in Central Florida!
Thanks for the links. I've bookmarked 'em both!

And then the reproduction hood hinges sound like they leave something to be desired. Some that have bought them tossed them in the trash and either rebuilt their originals or found some decent used or NOS ones.

I think that the ones people had trouble with came from LMC. NPD has two different branded re-pops and a few NOS, RH's if you are inclined to pay $495 for one hinge. I believe the ones with problems were the zinc plated ones.

I'm seeing these around: https://www.npdlink.com/product/hing...1964&year=1964
Anyone have any experience with them?

Got mine from DC. They were goldish colored anodized, I assume. They were junk and became landfill material. Found an NOS set in Texas and never looked back.

Looks like things are possibly looking up. I don't have experience with those hinges, but Dynacorn makes good stuff and I've used their quarter panels for a car before. They even make whole Mustang and Bronco bodies these days. Some of it overseas for sure but they set a high standard.

223ci Inline 6 with the 4-spd manual on the floor.

This is our first vintage truck project (I worked on some cars in my youth) so we're pretty excited. My wife has never really had the opportunity to build something like this, so she's stoked.
