Differences of firestone red label 2712 and 2716 other than price??

I can't find a difference except that the 2716 replaces the 2712.. but 200$ more?? Firestone site not helpful. Seems like folks like both the airlift and the firestone?? Any thoughts...

Looks like they may have just updated the brackets from what I can tell.
I have always had Airlift but went with Firestone on my 22'. I really like them because I can run the Daystar Cradles underneath the firestone bags. Easy to install.

It seems to me? that the daystar cradle allowing the tire to drop in a hole ( and not drag the truck frame down) would give a smoother ride?? And thus better for all situations but especially when towing a heavy load?? If I am missing something with the concept let me know.

Thanks

Grant

Got a message back from Firestone and the 2712 only fits the srw and the 2716 fits both the srw and the drw

The cradle just allows the axle to droop when the suspension is flexing without stretching and ripping the bag apart. I wouldn't think it would smooth the ride out any. If you stay on-road all the time, its not needed.
