tire indents

Are these normal? Just got new Futura Dakots from Pep Boys, and every tire has slight indents in the sidewalls. No ryhme or reason to positioning either, one only has one on each side, others have 7 or8. Took it back and the guy said that was normal, how the tire was made, safe to drive. Also said my steering is looser than it was because of the added tread. m I being scammed? It doesn't seem right to me. I've never had a tire with these indents.

bcf this is normal to a certian point it is called radial undulation.
I could understand 1or2 divits on each tire but 7or 8 on one tire,
this could pose a hazzard in the future as the tires begin to wear
over time. If i were you i would speak my concerns to the store mgr or someone above his level [something to the effect of i am
concerned for the safety of my family] to the effect of having them replaced with new ones, also get involved in the picking out of the new ones. If all else fails & if you bought a road hazzard
warranty well that is a sure way of getting them replaced. I have
never owned a set of pep boys tires but have seen good results with them they wear good & provide good traction. If i can help any further just write back .
good luck turbo ted
