5/8” Sheet Metal Plug

5/8” Sheet Metal Plug
I wasn’t able to find a plug made specifically for the square hole in the door or the hole on the top of the fender, but I did find these FOMOCO plug that fit 5/8” holes perfectly. Available all day long via eBay or in the doors of first gen Fusions (all in great condition) at the PNP.
PN: W651011-S
Hope this helps. I’m always looking for improving upon what I have and the little stuff makes all the difference.

That's what the factory used as well. there was no special plug for the square hole.
Original inner fenders were always zinc coated . but I've never found anyone who can put an original looking finish on them. so it's pretty much whatever color paint you prefer, I used Hammerite silver and it has a little texture and similar color to the zinc.
look out west nice inner fenders are not hard to find. but even then the zinc will be shot usually. 2wd ones will work on a 4x4.

Hi Crazy,
Good attention to detail..!!
I see your inner fenders are black, are they aftermarket....?
Are they any good...?
I need fenders and inner fenders. I got OEM salvage fenders, but have not located inner fenders (that I like)
I have a 1975 F250 Highboy.
Thanks,
Jimmy

I figured they used a plug like this. DC listed one for the slightly larger square hole that’s below the striker. Up until this I couldn’t find one of the right size.
It would be nice if Ford made a ‘hardware’ catalog available as I always find little bits and pieces harder to find than the major components.
