My dad drove GMC in the late 90s early 00s I learned to drive in a 76 GMC dually 4 speed. Any of us can break the cycle and start making good decisions

Do to a move this January to 55 and over community ( building a new house ) I had to down size my personal vehicles from 2 to 1. Initially thought about keeping the truck because it’s so useful in so many ways but I couldn’t trade in my beloved Shelby either.
so, I traded both in on a 2001 F150lighting with 13211 miles on it. Same color as my Shelby.
my 92 F 259 was a great truck. My 07 Shelby GT500 with copious mods was my baby. The lighting in red is a perfect fit !

Changed her sparkplugs and went to Motorcraft ones. She's so tall that I have to stand on the bumper and lean waaaaaaaay over to get to them. The new ones lined themselves us and threaded back in MUCH easier than most other vehicles that I have worked on...thanks Ford engineers!?!?
Here are the Autolite plugs that came out (as they sat in the engine). A little dirty, but electrodes don't look too bad. I have no idea how many miles were on them.

I put fuel in the tank I stopped using months ago because it leaks. I realized my mistake when the gauge showed still low. My mpg will be lower for a while. I could paint a fuel door or buy a locking cap to indicate which tank to use. I don't often drive long distance, so I'm not yet ready to buy a new tank.
