Summer can be a real sweatshop. You need a V8 powered shop fan, my friend. I'll carve you a biplane style propeller for it. Maybe couple it to a home generator for "efficiency" reasons. I'm sure someone has a 289 laying around doing nothing.
You could even mount a fake cockpit and some stubby wings on it for the grandkids.

Kubota, no I have not. And honestly, I don't know that I will. I had a blast building it. Fun in the shop, and especially a lot of fun here with you guys!
I started building that engine back when fuel prices were low, the economy was good, and I felt confident about most things. Having a gas guzzler in my favorite driver seemed doable. But toward the end of the engine build, and during the following three years, our country has...well, you've lived it and seen it. So I decided to postpone installing the engine. I still have a little hope though. Until then, the 502 will have a sheltered life....

Yep, the Bridgeport milling machine is nice. I don't use it near as much as the lathe. But a milling machine is one of those things that when you need it, it's the only thing that can do the job. And I had forgotten until now, that I actually put that engine block on the mill table, to get that seized water jacket plug out.
