Since CA operates several shipping ports that receive imports from Asia, and since the shipping containers transported from such ports are required to be hauled with zero emissions yard goats and trucks on an accelerated adoption schedule, the costs of imported goods throughout North America will also likely rise, as the ports of Long Beach, Oakland, etc have been required to turn away drayage trucks not meeting the emissions mandates.
Freight train engines will also be effected... with an equal ripple effect.
But a guy from Kansas tooling through the majestic Redwoods and the stony cliffs of Yosemite in his diesel van will not be effected for the next 20 years.
