New Guy - ‘21 F-250 Lariat
Hi all! I’ve been lurking for a while as I was figuring out what to get for my first pick up truck. Recently bought a new camper, 29’ Coachmen travel trailer and didn’t want to tow it with my 2014 Yukon XL Denali. Turned into a great excuse to upgrade!
Here is my Carbonized Grey with the 7.3 and 3.55 with locker. Black package, Lariat ultimate, adaptive cruise, adaptive steering, moon roof, LED headlights, clearance lights, upfitter switches, 397 alternator / dual battery, heated rear seats, trailer 360 cam backup system. I’ve been stoked with this thing!
So far I’ve put weather tech mats in it, picked up a Reese cargo bar, and put on a quick 670 miles.
Leaning towards a Retrax hard rolling cover. Buddy has one on his Chevy 2500 and I very much like it. Other than that, considering a little tint on the front side windows, and maybe a few little FORScan updates (numbers over gauges).
There’s a lot of great info on these forums, I have certainly appreciated it so far!

Western PA has hit a nasty cold stretch recently. The upside is I’ve gotten a chance to play with the locker and four wheel drive a little to put it through it’s paces. I’ve never had traditional 4x4; always AWD or full time 4x4.

These trucks are nice for sure. Not the same beast we are use to from the 70’s and throughout the 80’s. Trucks took a turn in early to mid 90’s for sure. I miss truck prices of the 70’s however!

I Have a Velocity Blue with Blackout package. The side makers are black form the factory also the Ford emboldens on the front and back, no Ford Blue. It really is a great package.

OP I would add that you should not fold your mirrors durning freezing weather. I have seen them freeze up and bind really bad when trying to open. I had mine on auto fold because I was putting it in my garage. The other day I had left it outside all day in the freezing weather and they start binding as they where opening.
