Welcome to FTE.

I suggest fixing your transmission problems before installing headers. Can you give us some specifics about the problems the truck has?

I also would get transmission healthy. You may want go ahead and put the additional header funds towards the tourqe converter. Do some alot of research the tourqe converter is the heart of the dent side. Dont be afraid to spend more.

only thing it has is a small leak so i have to add a half a quart every 2-3 weeks. Transmission would slip only if i had to add fluid or truck is not warmed up.. Thanks

If the truck really has a transmission problem, I'd fix that before adding headers.
