I've been lucky enough that every one ive bought has been A-plan.
I remember my first one in 99... A super cab, F250, power stroke. Sticker was 34,xxx for it. I paid 28,142. Drove it for just over 2 years, put 50,000 miles on it. And sold it for 29,500. Turned around and bought a 2001 F350 off of a lot on A-plan for 34,xxx..
That A plan price is a huge deal. This will be my 5th truck on A plan. A 99, 2001, 2006, 2015, and now a 2021. It's been a love/hate thing for me. I traded my 2001, for the 2006. The 2006 was the harley davidson edition. I was at a dealer, and just driving thru the lot. Saw a truck there, and was going to ask a salesperson about it, so i walked inside, and then saw the Harley edition sitting on the showroom floor. Opened the door, and saw the black leather, and that was it, i found the first salesperson, and i said i want that truck, A plan, and i'll take it. He talked to sales manager, and they said ok.... Couple hours later, i was driving away in that. But it was also the biggest piece of garbage i ever owned. That 6.0 was a pile from day 1. Put 150,000 on it over the 9 years i owned it. And the last year, i only put 800 on it. I was scared to even drive it, as it seemed everytime i took it out of the garage, there was something that would happen. And the 2001, i never had a single issue with it. But i was very happy when that 06 was traded for my current 2015 F350 with a 6.2 gas. This thing has been trouble free. Only warranty claim was the ring around the rear seat 12v outlet broke, and the cover fell off. About a $6 dollar item. Service every 3000 miles and just drive it. Swore i'd never get another diesel, but the gas mileage when towing with the 6.2 hasn't been stellar. And the 7.3 probably won't be a whole lot better.

Well drat. Got an email today from my dealer. The truck is sitting on the lot in Ky. waiting for a chip. May be days or weeks. The plant in Japan is starting back up (supposedly started on the 19th) so maybe it won't be too long but, we don't know who gets priorities on the first chips shipped in. It would not be an issue to wait but I have already sold the old truck.

Sure glad I bought a truck last week. I got lucky and grabbed one an hour after it rolled off the carrier at the dealer. My salesman was a good guy to call me with the heads up. I went and looked at the truck in the back of the dealership. Never drove it or even opened the doors and said I'll take it.
My dealer called today and informed me that my ordered truck that was supposed to build this week was canceled.
All unbuilt dealer orders are suspended and will go towards 2022 allocation.
And it is absolutely true that there are trucks in a storage yard waiting on the chip.
Good luck men.

Just looked again this morning. Only thing that is really doing any changing is the date on the bottom of the window sticker.
Was 4/21. Then was 4/24 for a day, and then went back to 4/21. Now this morning it says 4/29.
Does it mean anything at all when that date changes?
On the tracker, it just says in production. And i can't imagine anything has or will change since the plant is shut down. And the delivery to dealer date hasn't changed since 4/21. It went from 6/5 to 6/13. And it's still at 6/13
