5th Wheel hitch for GD Reflection 150 295RL on stock F250 6 3/4, 18 in, 5th Wheel prep pack
I am trying to match my stock 2017 F250 ( FX4, 18 inch wheels, 6 3/4 box, 5th wheel prep pack and camper pkg) to a new Grand Design 150 series 295RL. Does anyone have this match or something similar with another new GD 150 series and is happy with the hitch they have and the spacing provided? What hitch do you recommend? Thank you for your assistance

B&W Companion makes a hitch for your truck with the puck system. They also make a g/n companion combo for the ones of us who didn't have the Ford factory puck system installed. That is what I have in my 18. Absolutely love it. Zero chucking. Super easy to get in and out but heavy. I've used their turnover g/n hitch system for years and this 5th wheel hitch drops into the g/n slot.
I tow a GD Reflection 337RLS with it easily.
Loosen the jam nut on the hitch, pull the pin and remove the hitch. That simple. Hitch also comes apart so it isn't as heavy. Clean bed in five minutes or less.
Just make sure that the goose ball, Anderson hitch versions don't void your warranty on the rv. Lippert makes the frame and I've read conflicting reports on the warranty of these products as they alter the load stress of the pin. B&W. American made steel. Can't be beat.

Andersen Ultimate Hitch. 35lbs. One minute to install, one minute to remove. Don’t have to be perfectly straight to hook/unhook. JAYCO uses Lippert frames and MorRyde rubber pin boxes on the Eagle line. MorRyde makes a gooseneck adapter plate specifically for the Andersen hitch. I’ve been very happy with my selection.

I run a B&W and wouldnt go with anything else. It feels solid when towing. My brother in law has a different brand, cant remember the brand, and it feels mushy. The trailer feels like it moves around a lot more than mine and they are the same size trailer but mine is about 1000 lbs heavier.

I want to make sure I can maximize my turn radius to make sure the pin box does not hit the sides of the truck (in addition to the trailer not hitting the window). With my travel trailer I can almost go 90 degrees backing up. So, which 5th wheel hitch, and arrangement gives me more angle to turn and less chance to damaging the truck (sides or window) or the trailer. I am open to any arrangement to maximize safety. Thanks

Grand Design is a good manufacturer and most of the newer 5th wheels are designed to work in a regular or even short bed. Back in the day if you had a regular or short box you'd need a sliding hitch, now not so much. My truck is a regular bed (6'3/4ft) and I can be at a 90' angle with my trailer and have plenty of room. Make sure you get the hitch rated to carry your trailer and then maybe move up to the next level just in case.
