Vinyl Floor Mats

Vinyl Floor Mats
Anyone here happy with the fit and quality of the one they purchased? I am doing a frame off restoration and getting close to finishing up painting. The hassle of getting the empty cab to get Line-X in it before putting the truck back together seems like a hassle. I was wondering about floor mats. There seems to be several places selling them for different prices and theoretical pictures of them look different.

I know that the one all vinyl one I got from LMC (even though it was FREE from a fellow FTE member) it fit like a saddle on a chickens back. Not to well at all, remember you have 2 different trans hump heights, standard trans is taller than an auto. And it only went to just past the front edge of the seat and did NOT go down the sides, that are not covered by the seat. I also had to use some self adhesive Amazon peel and stick soundproofing to build it up to take up for the loose fit/slack/slop especially around the trans hump.
I'm pretty sure it was NOT this one, and it looks to go all the way to the back wall. Maybe I should of ordered this one.

Maybe it was this one I got? https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-79-for...ont-floor-mats
I used the sound deadening heat shield kit #( 492960)
https://www.lmctruck.com/1973-79-for...at-shield-kits had to cut and mod the heck out of it to get it to lay down. Remember it only is for the floor pan and trans hump NOT under the seat. Unless you get the other one. Bottom line... shop carefully.
Does not go down the sides. Does not fit the hump very well.
Trans hump build up to get it to fit.
Good thing I had carpet to go under seat and down sides. Also did the back wall.
Still do not like the trans hump and bumps and wavy matting. Yes I let it warm up and tried and tried to get it to lay down. Spray adhesive would not of worked, to much material.
Still waving at me...it might have to come back out sooner than later.
Also to not trust the pre cuts on the underside for the shifters, they are to big for the trim rings to clamp like they are suppose to. Good thing I was careful there. I was going to Line-X it, wish I would of now.

Well, after a few years of trying to get that rubber may to sit right in Texas heat I gave up and got carpet. Believe I got ACC through Rock Auto? Fit like a glove, cutouts were all in the right places. Having done this a few times before, I did NOT cut all the holes full size before I started, just cut the minimum I needed where needed, but I was pleasantly surprised that every cutout was bang on the money when I did get to cutting. Be careful to measure your tunnel before ordering - may places assume a high tunnel if you have a C6 and t'ain't necessarily so - I had a low tunnel with a C6, ordered by that low-tunnel criteria instead of by whether I had a C6, and what I got fit perfectly.
OH, and I still have the old mat - stretched and a little ripped at the dimmer switch, one bubbled area where an old incandescent trouble light melted it a little (common sight in those days!) but if someone lets it thoroughly warm in the sun they could probably stretch/flatten it to fit well enough for a daily driver, hunting camp truck, farm truck etc. Free if you pay shipping.

I bet they did not come from the factory with OEM carpet or vinyl overlay "floor mats" , and they were a dealership installed item. Like a lot of them with NO rear bumper unless ordered. The ones in my red truck came from a 2014 Ford Crew cab (rear set). A lot of folks sell them cheap since they get Husky Liners or some other brand of fitted liner. If you want some heavy duty ones get an old bed mat and cut your own. These stay right where I want them.

I've contemplated creating my own floor mats for my truck... or having WeatherTech come out and laser my floor for some 100% custom mats
