We used Sanchem No-Ox ID when we wire DC plant for cell towers. It IS CONDUCTIVE and prevents corrosion. I have used this on all the DC connections on the Excursion, wifes subaru and now my F350. Where cheap gloves and work it into the connectors and on terminals. No-Ox ID
Y2K - what are your thoughts on this? It does allow dust to stick but I have had ZERO corrosion. The brown you see is actually dust stuck to the grease,
I replaced my tailgate with an RV tailgate and got the option to remount the tailgate camera.
I stripped the wiring harness of all wiring except what was needed for the camera.
Plugged it back in and it worked the same as original.
I'm suspecting you may have some issues with your wiring/plugs. I remember mine were
hard to unplug, but I just kept pulling and wiggling the connectors until they came free.
mine were mud caked and very difficult to unplug. I can't figure out why there are 2 plugs (harnesses) to my tailgate, when the only thing back there is a camera, which shouldn't need more than 2 or 3 wires???
