2020 F250 Tire pressure and Forscan help

Hey guys I just finished installing a Carli leveling kit on my F250 with new wheels and tires. Carli recommends dropping the PSI in the tires for a significantly better ride. I didn’t think that was true until I did it and it made a huge difference in the ride. Now my tire pressure light is on and I would like to get that corrected. I was looking for guidance on Forscan and can I update the tire pressure? Please tell me what I need to get this done and feel free to talk to like you would your red headed step child because I honestly no anything about Forscan.

Not any help here, but I also just installed the Carli kit on my 2020 along with wheels and tires. I was told by Discount Tire and the local Carli dealer that there is no way to set/recalibrate the newer Fords to accept a lower pressure.

Yes, you absolutely can use Forscan to look at those values in the BCM, lines are referenced, change them to the correct codes to reflect what PSI you want to alarm at. I am set to 55 psi all the way around on my truck. Ussually run about 58 PSI Cold. They go up to about 65 running down the road at 70 mph, depending on outside temp. I air up to 60 front, 70 psi rear towing/loaded. Dongle for Bluetooth into the module from a laptop with Forescan is cheap. Ford could do it in their IDS same way, but they will not modify due to litigation/legal. Find the thread with the 2020 year Forecan spreadsheet.

Then you can do a bunch of other mods too.

According to the spreadsheet in this Thread it looks like the values for TPMS are still pending, so maybe keep an eye on that thread for a bit. I just wanted to say nice truck and ask what size tires those are. I am thinking about raising up my running boards like yours as well.

Thats my thread that’s why I asked him what those values were so I could recommend changes for validation
then I can update the spreadsheet

For a 2020, go into BdyCM Module Configuration (the plain English module), find "TPM Placard-Front" and TPM Placard - Rear" and change the values to what you want. You do not need to use the as-built file.

^^^^^^^^^This worked for my 2020^^^^^^^^

I set the threshold to 45 psi all the way around, currently tires are at 50.

I apologize for the late response. According to Carli I’m supposed to be at 45 in the front and 40 in the rear. That’s what I set it at. Also what OBDII connector do you recommend? I don’t have one yet

Ok good to know

I would get a large mug of java With some time and go through and read the ForScan threads. You don’t have to read all the posts. But LivItUp has a fantastic tutorial and adapter recommendations. I would start there

I bought this one. I use Forscan via bluetooth with a PC laptop and I can use my iPhone as a gauge and monitor while driving down the road.

I have same for my 2017 in signature though. I think 45 psi is too low, when I do the "chalk test" at 58 front and 58 rear on my CC LB Diesel, I have all the full width of my 295/65*18 Good Year Duratrac's touching the ground BUt I have a heavy toolbox and 35 gallon auxilliary fuel tank in the box and a fair bit of stuff under the back seat....

The OP's wider sidewall maybe more forgiving in that a wider sidewall can flex more, perhaps that tire weight charts will be ok that low, I just don't know.
