A "bit squirrely once or twice when I hit a bump on the highway while going around a curve" is a far cry from the "Death Wobble" - I wouldn't go changing the Steering Stabilizeron a 2019 truck for that (it probably would void warranty, depending on how strict YOUR Dealer is). Again, read my Post, just before yours - this new thing is NOT a RECALL! (Hell, my 2019 F-450 dually, without the truck camper on, is squirrely on the highway any time you hit a groove or lip, or off ramp... but that's the 19.5 tires!)

(and btw, AK2NC, this is N1IV - just guessing?)

Void exactly what warranty??? That Ford will replace your defective stabilizer with another defective stabilizer? Over and over again until the "warranty" runs out? I'll gladly take my chances and keep my time and sanity by putting a new unit on myself, then forgetting about the whole thing, while driving down the hwy. With one hand on the wheel.

Yeah, you're right - for you! I just turned 70 and can't really be crawling around under my trucks like I used to anymore (and it really pisses me off to even think about it). I've also had three back surgeries that add to the age thing, so I'm basically screwed! Warranty is my friend, get the point? Anyway, aside from that, my '08 F-250 had 58k on it when I traded it in for my '15 F-350, I ran a 3.5" leveling kit and 37X13.5R18 Mud Terrains on it and never once had any "Death Wobble" with factory stabilizer still in place. My '15 F-350 had 32K on it when we put it up for consignment with our old truck camper. I ran 33" A/T tires and again, factory stabilizer with no wobble signs at all when we let it go. Of course the new truck only has 8500 on it, so it's a bit early... the '08, of all my trucks, really should have had a problem, if any! Just sayin'... until I feel something, I'll take my chances!

So I got the same notice in my Ford Pass as everyone else. Since I am not personally familiar with DW - 2019 F350 is my first truck ever - can someone tell me in plain English what the experience is like? I have not towed yet, but what I do notice is that driving down the highway, in the curve, when hitting a bump or pothole, the truck bounces around but settles down fairly quickly. My remedy has been both hands on the wheel and slow down a little when I am approaching the curve at high speed. Is that DW? If not, what is it?

Thanks, appreciate responses from more knowledgeable folks.

Replaced the stock shocks and steering stabilizer at 4000 miles. Went with the Rancho 5000 product at all 5 locations. Truck spends 95% of it's life on the highway and towing our Airstream so, just went with these as i have ran them on many of my previous vehicles with no issues. My 2019 has never experienced even the slightest hint of DW but, thought I would be proactive swapping these parts out. I have the 'non FX4' shocks and they were complete garbage. Rancho's made a noticeable improvement in overall ride. Love the truck and if DW ever shows up, will just have the front end rebuilt with quality aftermarket parts and keep on truck'n.

I'm keeping mine stock, no way am I voiding my warranty. No telling what all they would "void" when you start adding your own aftermarket suspension / steering components.

The entire front end will shake violently until you slow down to below 10 mph. Your family will grab the oh **** handles and you'll start sweating as you navigate across 3 highway lanes of traffic while rapidly slowing down trying to regain full control.

That's what it feels like.

Thank you, that's what I was looking for. Clearly, I have not experienced anything like that. Yet. Hopefully never will.

I got my letter from Ford a few days ago. On the back of the letter it states that if you have paid to have this service done before the date of this letter you may be eligible for a refund. 6 months ago I replaced my dampener with a single Fox unit. I wonder if they'll refund the money I paid for the Fox. Hmmm.

I did the exact same thing, I saved my original one, I'll gladly let them have it!

I got the same notice recently. I added a dual setup before my truck even had 1000 miles on it. I figured that I would head off any issues before they could start. I retained the factory stabilizer as well so I actually have 3 total. Steers great with no issues.

The text of this document says they will reimburse you if you had this repair done. I wonder if that includes a aftermarket Fox stabilizer for example? I will be asking my dealer since that is what I did.
