After Market Dash Gauges

Hello,

I am considering installing this after market gauge setup. It works with the stock bezel. Just wanted to see if anyone here has had one and what they thought about it.

Thanks

Have you looked at replacement parts from Bronco Graveyard, LMC, etc. or is this a specific look you're aiming for? I don't have your linked gauge cluster in my truck, so sorry if my response isn't helpful. Assume you're ready to modify your wiring to accommodate this, as I read it comes with sensors and wiring.

I just bought the same one except the -B (blue) version instead of -W (white). I haven’t got it installed yet, but the pics of the blue backlighting at night really sold me. And the gauges are analog which I like. The digital Knight Rider looking gauges didn’t appeal to me at all even though they were a lot cheaper. These Dakota Digital gauges look like they belong in the truck.

I am going with this cluster. https://www.cjponyparts.com/intellit...4446&year=1977

Nearly half the price and is much closer to the factory feeling without keeping manual gauges.

I have the Dakota Digital guages in a 70 Mach 1 restomod and am going to put the ones above in my 77 Crew Cab. I absolutely love them in my car. They're bright, they're easy to install, and they maintain a semi-stock look to me.

I’ve seen these but often wondered how you set the fuel and odometer on one of these. It is plug and play or do you have to tinker around?

It's plug and play. Honestly, it's been 3 years since I installed them in my car, and not a single issue with them. They've got add-ons such as fan controllers, external temperature modules, even cruise control I think. I don't have those features, but, they would be pretty easy to add even now.

Did you hit your head? If you like those, that is your preference, but If you think they "feel" more like factory, I'd have somebody do a brain scan.

Neither one looks even close to stock! But then stock SUCKS! Think about it we all left everything stock all those boys back in the fifties would have stock brakes on a 34 ford and we all know how that would turn out

It objectively feels more factory. Location of gauges, bezel visual design. Literally the only thing the dakota has over this as far as feeling factory is that it is much less digital...

I'm using the Dakota Digital VHX with my Coyote swap so $755 plus another $100 for the BIM Module to plug into the Coyote ECU so no sending units, plug and play. Spendy for sure but closest to original look out there. The intellitronix digital cluster is much cheaper and looking at the display its clear why. No thanks.
