Good morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else Getting ready to hit the road in a few minutes.
A few shots of the Saguaro National Park (West) that we visited yesterday and an adjacent museum. We didn't have time to tour inside the museum (and it was almost $50 for 2 old fogie tickets) so we walk around the outside displays and headed on into the park.
Here are a few shots....
Old Studebaker Wagon that transported everything from mice to cougars to events for educational purposes.
They may like the sun, but even he was saying it was time for some shade!
One of many trails in the West Section of the National Park. This one is a loop that starts and ends at the visitors center.
First and foremost!!!!!!!
These big cactus have a wood like core. Looks like reeds or tubes inside of them. Good for holding water.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Out in the boondocks on BLM land between Kingman and Grand Canyon West. N 35.445513 W 114.239074
It would be wonderfully quiet if the darned coyotes would shut u. Had a beautiful moon rise earlier. It was huge it looked you should be able to reach out and touch it.
Came through a Joshua Tree Forest today. Pretty neat. Hadn’t seen one of those up close since 84 or 85 when a group of us in army uniforms showed up at 29 Palms and taught the Marines how to shoot.

Good morning everyone. Off to church in a bit. The beach was nice yesterday. We went to Seal Rock and it was pretty sheltered from the wind and not very cold. Pretty rough surf yesterday, big waves rolling in. Gavin was having fun running up the beach away from the little waves until one got to his ankles and he lost his balance (we were right there with him) and he got soaked. Some dry clothes and ice cream fixed it.

Good evening Oregon and everyone everywhere else.
Cell signal here is really poor. We’re on a mountain over the Colorado River. Guess we won’t be seeing Hoover Dam in the morning. It looks like they have the entire thing locked down tight. All access roads, parking lots, trails, view points! The whole enchilada is shut down per the web sight. Bummer.

I told her that if we got married we’d never live in Cali (we met when Inwas stationed there). And it worked!
