Today is my Thursday, normally and all stoked and looking forward to the weekend but the maintenance job isn't the grind like the delivery job is.

Morning all, and it's my first Friday of the week. Since we are furloughed on Fridays I get two Fridays! Makes the puppy happy, who is now 4.5 months old and 55lbs. She is going to be a big girl, with a attitude. We had our worse hike ever yesterday, do to her attitude and not listening. Later in the evening she was back to normal being good. Definitely female, very moody at times!

 

Good morning everyone. With the warm muggy weather here yesterday I almost thought I was back in North Carolina.

 

Good soggy morning Oregon and everyone everywhere else. 54 and very wet. Dogs slept in until 0610. Went out and tip toed around the back yard for 5 minutes, demanded to come in out of the rain and have been back in bed ever since.

We had every intention of visiting Montana this summer....and then the US Navy intervened.
Kids were transferred in an on-off-on followed by the leave & travel time cut short "get here yesterday" again typical military SNAFU. So, our trip to Cali to see them and taking the "long, long way" home has turned into the trip to San Antonio.
The Warden has laid down the law...We will be seeing our new grandson. Since the San Antonio assignment is only 6 months (some super duper medical / dental prothesis class) , we can't trust that Bremerton will be their next assignment now since the name Norfolk as a possibility has popped up a time or two. Travel to Norfolk is very problematic for us and I fear a couple of thousand miles too far. I have concerns about San Antonio as well, but it won't be quite as far to make an emergency trip home from..
