Truck humor

I watched my neighbor who is a night shift supervisor on maintenance at a packing plant, try to pound a left hand thread nut off a bicycle pedal with a 24 inch adjustable wrench and a 2 lb sledge hammer. I stood back and thought, well you could go help him, then the devil told me the entertainment and language lesson was a far greater value.

"Dear, what truck parts did you buy today?"
"Oh, not much, just some leaf springs, lug nuts, rims and VIN tags that I can use right now." "Oh, I also stopped at the auto parts store for a case of WD-40, some 80 grit sand paper for my DA, disks for my angle grinder and, a bottle of acetylene"
"Then why did you need two trips and the roll-back?"
"I had to carry back the packaging."

In the last year I've smashed the thumb on my left hand in a bloody mess. Grabbed some gauze black electric tape, taped it up and finished the job. Waited a few day before pulling my shop bandaging off to survey the real damage. Ended up loosing the nail, it took over six months to pretty much recover from that.
I banged up two more fingers and had big blood clots under those nails, one finally is cleared up, the other just starting to work it's way up the nail bed.
Smashed the index finger on right hand leading a decent chunk of skin flapping in the breeze. Probably should have gotten stitches but a piece of gauze and black electrical tape and left on the finger for a few days before looking at it seems to have done the trick.
Countless other mishaps needing minor medical attention.
Just a reminder we tend to put more into these trucks than just parts and money. We do put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into them.
