Used to use spray cans of dye to freshen the black on carpets back in the '70s, worked OK. Have tried Rit dye in the past on clothing, never got much past a deep blue. How much the dye would cost to get it black? No idea. I see cans listed anywhere from $6-$27 a can. A few cans of the pricey stuff sure gets you into new carpet territory!

The fabric spray paint is $15/can. I picked a red one up for the seat. If that goes well I will get the black for the carpet.

It does look good.
I added a free used carpet and matts to my 81 F100 and it is like anew truck it is so quite over the metal floor that only had roll on bed liner.

Just paint the truck blue to match! Soon, you’re going to need a fleet color anyway!
Turned out nice though, carpet looks in nice shape. It was worth the try.
