6 of 03 2wd auto Noticed oil on bell housing after first oil change. 18000 miles now and still leaking. Dealer keeps dancing around it. Its not the turbo hoses or the torque converter. I have freinds who have had replaced and they still leak. I,m going to live with it until a real fix is found.

KW5413, there is no puddel on ground. Dealer had ford rep come out to check my truck, they called me at work and asked if I had a chip in truck and I said no. they then said a strange code came up and asked if I had a programmer, being the honest(dumb) person I am I said yes since the place I bought tuner said they cant void warrenty. Now I know they were just fishen and I bit. Here is quote from work order- there is a code p0603 in the pcm caused by a pcm modification like a programmer call the customer to verify he is using programmer this causes to much crankcase pressure which pushes oil out of seals clean oil of the bottom of motor FORD will not warrenty with these modifications.- I could deal with this if I was the only case but there seams to be many seal problems. Anyone give me help on what to do on this issue. Love truck but very frustrated with ford.

using programmer this causes to much crankcase pressure which pushes oil out of seals clean oil of the bottom of motor

I wish I was more knowledgeable on this as do not know if a programmer could cause this. Hopefully someone will jump in with some goos technical info here.

Keep in mind though that according to Ford's warranty statement they can / will deny claim if they determine a mods caused the problem.

Doesn't mean their denial isn't lame.

PO603: PCM KAM test error...indicates PCM has experienced an internal fault.

Probable cause: Reprogramming...Battery terminal corrosion...Loose battery connection...Damaged PCM...KAPWR to PCM interrupt / open (whatever that means)

Diagnostic aids: If KAPWR in interrupted to the PCM because of a battery of PCM disconnect, DTC can be generated on the first power up.

In a nut shell this code does not confirm the use of a programmer. It raises a big flag...but, a simple battery disconnect will cause the same code.

Yep...I would have to say they went fishing...set the hook good and hard...warranty denied...if the crankcase impact theory is valid.

noticed bell housing stain early on, probably 10,000 miles. At 30,000 took truck in for repair, RMS replaced. at 35,000 took it in for residual oil on bell housing no leak was found at RMS. Front main was now leaking, fixed, took truck back in one week later for residual oil on front of motor. Found oil pressure relief valve leaking. Today 39,000 miles and I didn't see any leaks.

04 cc f350 auto trans. Noticed oil leak at about 6500 miles. Had transmission recall done at 7500 miles. Replaced rear main seal at that time. No leak at this time.
