I would start a new post for this project so you / we dont get them mixed up.
It also looks like the truck is a feed back model from the plug I see on the firewall.

Already named "Jeremiah".
Kinda. We've had Jeremiah for over a year now. He is my brother's, but he gave up on trying to fix him. My turn, soon, probably.

Yes from what I can see it has a 300 six and starting in 83 or 84 to 86 the 300 had what is called a feed back system.
The timing and carb are controlled by a computer that gets feed back from sensors.
If you look at the dist. it dose not have a vacuum port and hose going to it and the carb will have more than 1 wire for the choke going to it.
That is unless someone has started to swap them out but I also see a rubber plug on the firewall that has a bunch of wires coming out of it.
The rubber plug is between the master & motor and is egg shape.

Can someone give me a part number, link, or whatever for a proper fuel tank for Baruch? Since I've had him, he's had a fuel tank that 1: Leaks if I put more than 8 gallons in and 2: is potentially the wrong tank for the truck and is strapped in poorly.
I want to be able to actually fill him to max capacity. Also, if there is a confirmed fit for a larger fuel tank I can use for Baruch, what would that be? I like to be prepared, so a larger fuel tank seems ideal.
Thank you.

Check LMC Truck. If you put in all the particulars on your truck they should filter your request to the tanks/senders that work.

If a short bed or long bed.
And the tank location if only 1 tank rear or front / side?
If you only have a rear tank factory is 19 gallons.
There is a larger rear tank, think 38 gallons but you have to deal with a sender as I dont think there is a drop in sender.
Side tank short bed is 16 gallons, long bed is 19 gallons.
There is no larger replacement tank for the side tanks.
No you can not put the 19 where the 16 was as there is no room and yes I tried.
Oh if you have a flare side you only have a 16 gallon side tank as there was never an option for dual tanks or rear only like on the style side short bed trucks,
I had a parts truck style side long bed with dual tanks and took the rear tank and full wire harness and installed it in my flare side.
I even graphed the filler door into the fender.

Gotcha.
7' bed. Currently has a side tank. I assume if I get the 38 gallon tank there won't be room for the spare tire (which I don't even have mounted under there since I can't find the proper mounting hardware)? How would I go about "dealing with a sender" for the 38 gallon tank? Is it worth it? My fuel gauge still reads "full" no matter the level of gas since I got the truck 4 years ago, haha.
Thanks.

I think the 38 gallon makes sense for a single tank option, especially if you get 10 to 15 mpgs and do a lot of distance driving where range is important. Nothing worse for corrosion in a tank is a big one you only put 10 gallons in because 50 bucks is all you can afford. If the std 16 gallon works replace that and the sender and you are back in biz. I think LMC has the sender adaptor for the 38s.
