For all of $360 bucks. Drove it a couple miles home, even. Has some immediate issues (rear spring hangers are rusted off, and it has no fuel tank), but for something running and driving, it’s a good start. My wife, who was the one who showed me the truck in the first place, already says I like it more than her

Pictures tomorrow after I go through it a bit more.

Any wife that can identify a dentside truck , encourages him to get it, and knows where she stands in the hierarchy of love, trucks and things is DEFINITELY a keeper.

Your wife have any single sisters? I'll trade you all of my rare dentside parts, and also give you my current wife as a bonus:

She does have a sister, but they're nothing alike

Cool bonus: found the original sales receipt, warranty registration sheet, owner's manual, and a sheet detailing GVWR and info about a slide-in camper. The truck was originally sold about 30 miles away from me, and has apparently been in Wisconsin since new. Looking at the body, that's amazing...it needs new cab corners and the driver's side floor pan has a soft spot, but no other major rust. Drip rails, hood, doors, etc are all pretty clean, with only some surface rust in areas where the paint has been damaged.

Here's a crappy night time picture after I got it home and cleaned out a new place in the garage for it:

The oil pan is to catch power steering fluid. It's leaking like crazy, and the power steering does not work at all. I poked my head underneath, and there's a line that looks like it might go to the PS pump that is off and has a bolt jammed into the end of it. Not sure what's up with that

Maybe it's a camper special! Is it an XLT? Nice truck!

Obviously has a few areas of need, but it’s a great start. I plan on warming over the 400 a bit, but I’m not getting too crazy with it. It’ll be a working truck, and also used to pull a camper.

Interior looks awesome. Outside looks like you could kick in a few of the rust spots. Not bad for three and a half bills. Those rear shackles look pretty sad though. Did you drive it with the frame bouncin' on the rear axle?

Yeah, upon closer inspection there are a few rust spots that are worse than what I was initially thinking. And yes, it was driven as is...at about 15mph max the 3 miles to my house.
