1961 Unibody Carpet Bed Liner
Hello all. I am in the works of purchasing a 1961 Unibody in really good condition. Its in pieces. Just needs a Tailgate painted and the bed needs another coat. However the beds large tubs have the basic dents and dings. Nothing major! But, I thought if a guy could get his hands on a perfect fitting bed liner of carpet this show truck would shine! I currently have a 1967 Mercury F100. Got a 429 and C6 w/ 3000 stall outta a 1972 Thunderbird. Has a roller cam, Weiand intake to match the aluminum Cobra Jet heads. 950 Holly carb. This engine will probably replace the 460 in it now. I have looked online for a proper fitting complete liner. However the older trucks don't seem to have this option. I can get just the carpet in bulk and cut to fit. Only thing is I couldn't fit a carpet in the dog house. I am a Canadian boy just North of the American border and have the luxury of shipping into the state of North Dakota and driving less than an hour to pick up from home. Makes for quick and slightly cheaper shipping. Thanks in advance.

If it is a show truck you might be better off with a set of these https://www.carolina-classics.com/be...d-1964-66.html
I think carpet will cause more problems than it solves. Also you can body work the dents out then use some spray on bed liner, that stuff is tuff as nails and will cover up a lot of small imperfections.

The beds in really good shape. Just some dents on the wheel wells. I’ll end up painting to match either way. Has button on cover already. I’d prefer carpet over wood. 😉
