Thank you to everyone who commented and gave me ideas to get my truck up and running again it turns out that there was no fuse in the 29 slot so i took out a 5 amp fuse plugged it in and my battery light came on in the run position so i grabbed my multi meter and was testing 14.5 at the battery

thanks again

I've heard a lot about this, but I have never had anyone explain it in any specific detail. Walk me through this, what actually happens during this "check all fuses" procedure? Do you take each one out and look at it? Is there a multimeter involved? Do you match each fuse rating with the correct rating for that circuit?

I must have been doing it wrong all this time by reading the fuse chart and only checking the fuses for the circuit on which I am currently working. I am shocked to find there has been another method this whole time.
