Replaced the fan belt on my dually tonight. The belt started squeaking this week. Don’t know how many miles the original belt has but the truck has 81,000 and it’s a Motorcraft belt 🤷‍♂️ It was showing signs of wear and very minor cracking. Plus lord knows how many heat cycles it has seen. Went with a Napa belt this time. Also did a little detailing as I have someone coming to look at it tomorrow. I somehow managed to find my self taking pictures randomly of my engine bay at 1 in the morning. Just looked good in the flood lights 🤷‍♂️

Engine bay looks good, especially at 0100!

Yeah unfortunately I am 😌 I will probably end up regretting it with the low miles (81K) and minimal rust for a Pennsylvania truck. It’s just that the dually is a little much for my needs at this point in life as a college student and I need a more efficient daily driver. I’ll be back down to just my regular cab ZF-6 as my daily driver and use it to to my 6.5x18 landscaping trailer occasionally.

I may regret it, but it will allow me to pay more attention to the regular cab in the meantime and lower some maintenance costs.

Don't do it man. These trucks are not a dime a dozen like they used to be.

Well, with a heavy heart I did it I said goodbye to the dually today. The buyer drove up from Virginia to pick it up. Gonna miss such a clean low mile truck, but at this point in life it's just not practical for me. I've learned a lot owning this one. I'm back down to one 7.3 now. Now I can pay more attention to it and hopefully don't catch PMS...

I luckily got a video of the new owner driving away in it, always a bittersweet moment.

Sad video, but from what you have told us it was the right call. I hope you told the new owner about us...

I definitely need to inform the new owner when I talk to him again at some point this week. It would be nice to have him on here just to know how the truck is doing and for any other questions he may have about it.

Truck has been sitting since December as I don’t drive it in the winter. I decided to start it up today to hook up the equipment trailer to bring into the garage for paint work. Luckily as I backed to the trailer and applied the brakes the peddle went to the floor, I immediately knew a brake line had burst. I’m grateful this happened in the driveway rather then towing on the road. Instead of bringing the trailer in for work, the truck is in the garage getting a new brake line. This inspired me to check the rest of the brake lines as well, turns out some of the others don’t look to great so I will be replacing most of them. Pictures of the replacement nickel copper brake line that had broke. The front passenger side brake line looks like it will be fun to replace.... not!

I would say I was in desperate need. 3 of the 4 were blown. Only downside is I found a nail in a tire with less than 20 miles on it.

Installed my new fuel pressure sender from ISSPRO. They sent me a replacement at no charge when I called to inquire about ordering a new one

Replaced all my steering linkage with XRF stuff. Part #DS1438XRFKIT purchased from www.americanundercar.com.

EDIT: I have been informed by @Sous that looking for that part number at that website does not yield any results. Try this page (tireclub.com) instead. It should be the third item.
