Dentside AC & Heating Options

Brethren of the FTE. Can you impart your wisdom on me with regard to AC and heating options for our dentsides? I’ve got a 78 F250 that is coming back from the grave. I live in Texas, so AC is a must (and I might as well get the heating done too). I’ve seen various complete kits from Vintage Air and Nostalgic Air and I’ve seen underdash options as well. My truck once had factory AC, so I don’t know if it would make more sense to get one of these kits, or if I just need to get the missing components to bolt into my current configuration. Below are a few pictures of what I have. It’s like Greek to me, but if any of you have experience with equipping your trucks with AC/Heating and can let me know what direction you would go down if you were in my shoes, that would be much appreciated!

I’m looking for any experience you guys have with the complete kits from VA or NA, underdash units, or for someone to tell me that I have the guts of what I need and should focus on getting the parts to get my current system going (condenser, compressor, evaporator, heater core, etc).

Thanks fellas!

1978 F250: Factory installed integral A/C is combined with the heater. The A/C controls are in the same panel as the heater controls.

Two pics: I didn't include the engine pic, as you failed to list the size of the engine.
