Hello Guys,

Just bought this truck last week. Went to get in it today to leave, and it wont turn over. Doesn't make a clicking sound or anything. Brand new batteries, all fuses are good. But if I stick a wrench to the starter it will turn over, but wont fire.

For a brief moment it showed a little light on the cluster that had a padlock on it. Is it some type of security mode or something?

ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

 

Turn the key to on position, take out of park and go to neutral back to park. Try starting should work mine did!!

 

Sounds to me like your anti theft is activated. Do you have both keys? Have them both with you and see if it will work then.

 

google the procedures to program the remote lock keychain switch and after replacing the battery in the keychain keylock switches follow the program proceedures.

I tried this and initially it didnt work becuase the instructions did not say that the drivers door had to be open to do the programming. after repeating with the door open, it worked.

 

I just had to replace my ignition switch on my truck. No issues with batteries, alternator, and no clicking when trying to start the truck (2009 F250 6.4L) $50 part from Ford dealer.
