So, the OP's truck seem to have some kind of HYBRID tailgate?? (or someone has taken the good bits from both a '64-'66 gate & a '67-72 gate and pieced it all together??)

The OP's truck

Below is a "Stock" Bumpside gate, notice the bead??
The 1967/72 Styleside tailgate (C7TZ-9940700-A) was the FoMoCo "service part replacement" for the 1964/66 F100/250 2WD & 1966 F100 4WD tailgate (C4TZ-9940700-A).

ALL the mounting hardware and the handle is exactly the same, the only difference is that the 1967/72 tailgate has smaller Ford letters surrounded by a raised ovate scallop line.

The scallop line on the upper section of the tailgate is also different, but most people don't notice it.

Problem is there are many straight steel grills out there that can be chromed, but finding someone in your area that still has a quality chroming service is the challenge. There are a few service parts grills out there still ( original is aluminum, not chrome ), but as you know, its a sellers market at this point in time, Sometimes these grills show up at the big swap meets at much more reasonable prices. IMO, about $800.00 would be a buy.

Your truck looks to be nicely restored.
Here's hoping you get to enjoy the fruits of the other fellow's labour in that restoration.
She is a very pretty truck indeed - congrats.
