How do I deactivate the drl from turning on? I'd like to be able to turn on the parking lights only on certain occasions (while parked) without the daytime running lights. Thanks.

DRL's would not be on in park, only when shifted into gear

 

I don't think the amber parking/turn bulb comes on if your truck has the DRL option. I can shut off my DRL, but when I click for parking lights the DRL turn back on for parking along with the rest of the running lights

 

rwilmo is correct. When the truck is in Park, the day running lights remain shut off. They automatically switch on when you shift out of Park. You would have to set the headlight **** switch to the first setting to the right of "off." If they are left in auto, the full headlamps would be on.

 

 

I seem to remember that in some markets, the option to turn off DRL is not present...

 

DRL is required in Canada - most vehicles that have an option to turn off DRL in the US do not have an option to turn them off in Canada.

no. One click right of off for me turns my DRLs on. I went through the options in Sync3 and unchecked the DRL option, however , I didn't notice a difference.

 

You can turn the switch all the way left each time to turn off DRL or go thru settings using the stering wheel and keep them off all the time, but when you turn on running /parking lights the yellow markers in the headlights do NOT come on, the DRL turn on
