Inline 6 300

I would think about $400-$500 for a ready-to-drop-in engine - but, I looked a few times in the past month or so, and saw one for $600 which I thought was a little high, and then I saw one more recently for $1000!!! So I don't know. I do know that I bought a 5.0 HO for $400 just nine years ago in Ohio, so a 300 should be in the same neighborhood.
There are none on CL here now. Search other regions' CL, and see what you find.

I saw a late-60's 300 on the Houston CL last month for $600 with accessories... but it was already sitting on a pallet. I'd want to hear it running as well. If you buy one without hearing it run first, you might as well plan on getting it rebuilt. Many people will say "oh yeah it runs great" and come to find out it actually has issues.
I seriously considered buying it... because one of it's accessories was an AC compressor! So it had the bracket I wanted! When I sent the guy a message, turned out the engine already sold.
