1948 Ford F1 Truck Bed ?

I was just curious if any part of this tire carrier in this bed is original to this truck? The tower looks homemade, but the horizontal piece looks to be original. Any thoughts?

The horizontal piece looks to have been made from the original underbody spare tire carrier.

Agreed.
The first option for a spare tire holder that wasn't under the bed was in 1954 and that spare tire holder was on the left outside of the bed with a notch on the left fender.
