I think you need to post the axle code off the warranty plate so the guys with the parts books will know what to look for. Or the info off the axle tag if it is still on the housing.

Thanks I think it's common to a few models as my 74 f250 has the same set up as my 66

AXLE code or rear axle ID tag has nothing to do with what brakes F250's came with, because all 1956/82 and some 1983/85 F250's came w/a Dana 60 rear axle.

All 1956/65 F250's and some 1966/75 F250's have 12 1/8" x 2" brakes.

Beginning in 1966 on F250 Camper Specials and F250's with a 7,500 lbs. Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, the brakes are 12" x 2 1/2."

Here's the picture. The caption is wrong, because the narrow 12 1/8" x 2" shoes used different parts than the wide 12" x 2 1/2" shoes.

For an example, the 2068 hold down springs are different.

Several years ago had similar issue with 65 F100 and I was able to replace all components thru local Napa store. Imagine a reputable local auto parts can find the parts. If decide to go thru local source suggest take old drum and shoes, believe there are a couple 250 sizes? Initially had issue with aftermarket brake components and ordered thru popular Ford part supplier's only to find the items were imported, matter of preference.

I found the brake hold down kit and the rear brake shoe adjustment kit very helpful in reassembling the rear brakes.
