49' F2 F3 Hubcaps

A quick Google search turned up these, nearly half the DC price, and free shipping. Are F-2/3 caps the same as F-1's?

F-2/3 are different than the F-1s. The eBay caps won't work on the F-2/3 rims.
There is a set of two on eBay right now for $25, slightly used, will need to be hammered out.

Hi,
maybe PeteMcL chimes in. A few weeks ago he had a set of four new repro caps he'd be willing to part with. The gen caps are hard to come by, as the F1 ones won't fit. Even the $25 from eBay would be worth a second thought. I think. At least the better one will indeed buff right out.
Four new ones set you back $240 at LMC, not the $100 for a set. That would be the F1 ones.

I bought the reproduction F2/F3 hubcaps and they do look good (even after 5 years) but the quality is not the same as the originals.
They require more effort to snap on, and they are paper thin so they dent REAL easy when you pound at the edges to seat them on the nubs. Every one of those caps has a pie crust appearance from all the little dimples.
And since they don't fit well and can fall off....I put my name and phone number inside each one. The reproduction caps are OK if you can live with the thickness and fit.
I have two originals that are dented like the right-hand one in the picture above.
