Beyond standard gauges
'17 f-250 Xlt 4dr SCSB 6.7l 3.31. Are there additional gauges anyone out there would recommend to monitor engine performance? I've talked to some people around town who monitor Oil temp. Exhaust temp. Trans. temp. Just not sure what is important to keep an eye on while towing. Thanks,

Depends on how close you want to monitor the engine. While towing two important gauges for a diesel would be exhaust temp and transmission temp for an automatic. Then if you want to know how the engine is performing you could also watch the turbo boost pressure.
You can add these add individual gauges or buy a scan tool that can display many more readings.

I would say no, there is nothing you need to monitor on the truck. It’ll run all day, do regens, etc without a driver input and with no change in operating pattern required.
IF you LIKE to monitor extra indications, there are a couple good options. No aftermarket sensors needed, just a reader to display what the truck already monitors. Some use a smartphone/BT OBDII adapter and can pull up all data. I like the edge CTS2, as it’s always available, because I like to watch extra info (not because I feel I need to)
